Guyana: Linden man wanted for manslaughter

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for another resident of Wismar — this time for manslaughter.

Police said Kevin Adams is wanted for questioning in connection with the death of Samuel DeSouza, a resident of Lot 50 Victory Valley, Wismar whose body was found at a track near his home on March 6, 2021.

Police said Adams’ last known address was Lot 51 Victoria Alley Street, Wismar, Linden.

Regarding the details of the case, police said DeSouza, a labourer, was found dead following an altercation and argument with a woman and her daughter.

According to police, DeSouza ran when the women confronted him. He ran on the track in the direction of his home.

However, about a half-hour later, police said two unidentified males were seen coming out of the same track that DeSouza used to travel home. They allegedly told the woman and her daughter that DeSouza is dead.

Police said when they arrived on the scene, DeSouza was lying on his back and a wooden-handle spear was observed resting on his body with blood on it.

The lawmen further stated that three knives and a screwdriver were found in the deceased man’s pants waist.

Blood was oozing from his mouth and right ear, and there were superficial bruises seen on the exposed parts of his body, police said.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 442-0759, 225-3650, 226-1928, 911, or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, police have also issued a wanted bulletin for 29-year-old Nicolai Cameron for questioning in relation to a rape allegation.

Cameron’s last known address was listed as Lot 28 Blue Berry Hill, Wismar Linden.
