Guyana: Foreign aircraft lands with suspected cocaine

Police officials revealed Thursday that a small foreign aircraft made an alleged emergency landing in Orealla, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) with a large quantity of suspected cocaine.

This was also confirmed by Toshao of Orealla, Lewis Devir.

Reports are that the aircraft crash-landed in a savannah in the vicinity of an airstrip in the village with two men on board, at about 2 p.m.

The identity of the men has not yet been confirmed and narcotics police are awaiting test results to confirm the substance found packaged in the plane.
