The Bermuda Police Service said it has made an arrest in connection with the Friday, May 7, 2021 stabbing and robbery of a 16-year-old boy that left him battling for his life.
An 18-year-old male was remanded by the police after the arrest while another male was being questioned.
According to the facts of the case, minutes before 6 pm. on Friday, May 7, the 16-year-old victim was at a car park near the Southampton Rangers Sports Club field, located on South Road when he was robbed of a gold-coloured chain then stabbed with a knife by his attacker.
The teen was admitted to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
At the time of the incident, police described the attacker as dark-brown complexion, sporting a short haircut, and dressed in teal-coloured pants and a black top.
The perpetrator reportedly fled on foot in the trails of Horseshoe Bay Beach.
The Bermuda Police, while thanking the public for help from those who have provided information so far, is also appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of South Road or on the trails or Horseshoe Bay Beach, around the time of the incident, to contact the police.
